Global Voices for Maternal Health - new project from the University of Oxford.

Calling all midwives, nurses and doctors!

"If you provide care for pregnant women in Africa, Asia, Latin America or the Middle East, this is your opportunity to make your voice heard"

Launched on 7th June 2010, Global Voices for Maternal Health is a major new project that will bring maternal healthcare providers centre-stage in international efforts to reduce maternal deaths.

This will be achieved by:

  1. Conducting an online survey of over 10,000 maternal health care providers in developing countries about the barriers preventing the implementation of safe, affordable and effective interventions in their settings
  2. Providing an online discussion forum to seek new and innovative solutions to overcome these barriers

The project is being carried out by the Nuffield Department of Obstetrics and Gyneacology at the University of Oxford, with the support of the Maternal Health Task Force of Engender Health.
